Every child in Year 1 will sit the Phonics Screening during the summer term along with some Year 2 pupils who didn't meet the pass grade when they were in Year 1. I have worked as a Year 1 Teacher and have guided pupils through the screening process. I was responsible for planning Phonic lessons and have 100% pass rate for children. Children at the end of Key Stage 1 (Year 2) and end of Key Stage 2  (Year 6) will be tested in Reading and Mathematics. They will also be teacher assessed in their Writing ability. I have worked as a Year 2 and Year 6 teacher and have guided many pupils through the end of Key Stage SATs test in Reading, Writing and Maths. If your child is about to sit the SATs then I will provide all the materials they need to become familiar with SATs style questions. My calm manner will take away any fears the pupil may have so that they feel comfortable about sitting these important end of Key Stage tests. I will demonstrate how to answer SATs questions and then assess their ability to answer questions independently.
